Weightloss :)
I recently caught up with my oncologist, and guess what? No more follow-up visits on the horizon! It turns out the odds of ovarian cancer making a comeback after 5 years are pretty slim – talk about dodging a bullet! But, just to keep me on my toes, my doctor threw in a little curveball about getting the weight off that I had gained since my hysterectomy and debulking. He said extra pounds could attract a whole brigade of cancers. I’m thankful for actually making it to this point.
So, even before this news, I had become a label-reading pro to avoid sugar and unhealthy fats. I'm walking more, and there's still some bouncing action on my mini trampoline. The result? I'm down 11 pounds and intend to lose 20 more by May. My secret weapon? A fantastic scale that syncs with my phone, delivering all the nitty gritty – water weight, BMI, you name it. It's my morning ritual, and I'm pretty stoked that it matches up with the doctor's office scale.
This scale isn't just a number-cruncher; it's become my morning buddy. It's affordable, doesn't need any fancy apps, and it's helping me stay on track. I've got grandbabies to enjoy, and I'm determined to savor every moment of this beautiful life!
